This wonderful basil comes from Roni’s farm, on the outskirts of Ubud. It has an incredible aroma, reminding of Anise and Licorice. It is a sweet basil variety, so it’s not too “spicy” as its Italian basil, making it perfect to mix in large volumes in salads.
Licorice Basil can also be used on his own, or mixed with others, to make a unique pesto or for a twist to the original recipe, in teas, sauces, and soups. It’s your duty to be creative with the wonderful subtleties of its flavour… It deserves nothing less.
