Red Mangoes are one of the sweeter varieties of Mango that grow in Indonesia! Because of this, they are often a favourite of restauranteurs, ice-cream makers, and cocktail crafters alike. They have relatively small seeds and are larger than most other varietis, as one fruit averages around 500g. When ripe, they are incredibly east to peel: just make a small incision with a knife, and simply tug on the skin for it to come off.
Unlike many others, we like our mangoes to ripen naturally and on the tree, so as to achieve their full flavour potential.
You must try these beauties! If you are a mango fan, as we are, you will certainly not regret it.
P.S. Despite the name (and the many pictures on the web showing otherwise), these mangoes don’t get so red… they are nonetheless delicious!
