We are so incredibly proud of being able to offer you LOCAL, Sulawesi-grown Foxtail Millet!

Foxtail millet has a sweet nutty flavour and is considered to be one of the most digestible and non-allergic grains available. From the ancient highlands of South Sulawesi, this couscous-like grain deserves to be more well known.

Grown since antiquity, millets have always been a staple diet of humans for more than 8000 years until modernization of cuisines took over the world of gastronomy by storm. And it’s no surprise!

Foxtail millet is a powerhouse of nutrition. They are rich in Vitamin B12, ample protein, good fat, carbs and amazing dietary fibre. Besides copious amounts of lysine, thiamine, iron and niacin, it also offers great amounts of calcium.

Pro Tip: It can be cooked in your every-day rice cooker at home! Just use less water 😉
