Red Rice is acquiring a worldwide reputation for having one of, if not the highest nutritional content of any other variety. It is also known for its earthy flavour, fluffy texture, high fiber and vitamin content. This particular batch was grown by a man with a distinct passion for organic agriculture – Pak Sunarka, from the area of Payangan. His goal is to spread organic food to his fellow islanders, and for his people to return to more wholesome and healthy eating habits.
